Resident Evil 2 guide: Where to find all the keys

Helpful tips for completing Resident Evil 2 to 100%.

The keys to the Police Station in Resident Evil 2 are very cleverly designed like a deck of cards. There is four throughout the scenarios and each one looks like a different suit: The Club Key, The Heart Key, The Spade Key, and the Diamond Key. There are also a few other notable keys for you to find throughout the game. Here’s how to find them all!

Note: This guide may contain location-based spoilers.

The Club Key

Note: This key is only available in Leon’s Scenarios. You need to have made it to the Balcony to be ready to collect this key.

Once you’ve made it to the east side second floor of the Police Station, you’ll eventually be able to jump down from the Balcony section on the map, and head down the steps. There is a Boiler Room at the bottom of the steps. As you near the door two zombies will break down the door to allow you to go through. Once you put them down go inside the Boiler Room. In the back office, against the wall, the Club Key will be stuck to the white board.

The Heart Key

Note: This key is only available in the Claire Scenarios. You need to have made it to the Chief’s Office to be ready to collect this key.

Go into the Chief’s Private Collection Room. In the back of the room there is a picture on the back table called “Relief”. Grab that picture and examine it. There is a button on the back of it that will turn the frame into the Heart Key.
