What you need to know

  • Destiny 2 is a first-person shooter from Bungie.
  • The game is getting a new expansion soon.
  • The “Shadowkeep” expansion takes you to the Moon.
  • Its promotional image was leaked by datamined files.

A few days ago, Bungie announced that the next major expansion for Destiny 2 would be revealed close to E3 2019. Unfortunately, as is tradition at the point, it looks like the game has leaked ahead of its reveal. Today, some dataminers on ResetEra were able to find a promotional image for “Shadowkeep” in Destiny 2’s PC files.

The Shadowkeep expansion takes players to the Moon and is scheduled to launch this fall. Immediately after the reveal, you should be able to preorder the game on Xbox One and other platforms, even though it comes out many months from now. A physical collector’s edition with some enticing collectibles should also be available for preorder at the same time.
